In fact.....just put a large tax on all Obama bumper stickers, T-shirts, and other Obama paraphernalia.

We already know those who want higher taxes never put their money where their mouths are and cut and extra check to the IRS.

It's only FAIR that ALL those who think it's a great idea to pay higher taxes ought to actually DO IT!
LOL, you mean asking George Soros to actually pay the taxes he OWES is off the table?

Wouldn't work unless entitlement payments were taxed as income/salary. Most of them sit around eating Twinkies and have never actually earned an income.

In each case what we see is that liberals recognize that we are all members of a society, and have an obligation to support the government and the benefits and services it provides to all of us. By contrast, conservatives like to think that the benefits and burdens are individual, so they think that taxation should be a matter of choice.

This is why President Obama was 100% correct to point out that everybody, up to the richest person in the country, got that way not merely by individual effort, but through the efforts and sacrifices of all of society.
is it our obligation to support waste and corruption, or is it our obligation as citizens to end it?

i have to say that i get a kick out of liberals supporting buffett the tax dodger simply because he is aligned with obama.

what i don't get a kick out of is liberals thinking that the disaster unfolding in this country is "fixable" simply by increased taxation. it is like their own personal security blanket, but it is not based in financial realty.

if we don't cut the spending, we are going to fail-and obama has ZERO interest in cutting the spending.

are you okay with the money printing/debt monetization/forced inflation scheme that obama has foisted on the poor and middle class americans? the destruction of perfectly good used cars? the wars, and now the ramping up of action in syria? the lack of control of our own borders, while we go secure the borders of other countries? the lost american wealth, with a 40% decrease in personal wealth for AMERICANS? the deaths of american citizens with fast and furious government gun running, and the run and hide solution offered to our agents?

because i really can't understand anybody being okay with this.

They do pay taxes it just gets returned to them after the Government holds unto it for a year with no interest!

PS: Where were you Conservatives hiding when Dubya was launching 2 expensive Wars while giving the wealthy tax cuts?

Ironically, despite all of your , most Obama supporters who are wealthy have welcomed the (return to the Clinton era rates) slight increase in taxes. Amazingly, wealthy conservatives have poor and middle class conservatives doing their dirty work. YOU PEOPLE are some loyal servants.
Agreed. And those who are opposed to paying taxes in order to live in a civilized society are free to venture off on their own to a land without Government. A land that has no taxes where they are free to create their businesses without aid and interference from the Government. Somalia immediately comes to mind. And, HEY, no gun control.

During a time of war, that's unprecedented. Oh, that's right. The war costs were off budget.
