I would say "historically" very liberal, like back in the Katherine Graham days. I'd hardly call the paper liberal anymore. At least once a day, there's a scathing Obama article. I read that paper everyday and I have to wonder why people claim it to be "liberal" but I think that's a throwback from a different era. It certainly doesn't feel liberal to me anymore.

Maybe it's beginnng to own up to the fact that the Great Liberal Fantasy can't survive in a world of realpolitik.

It's been fairly mid-line for quite some time now but I guess the liberal name is going to stick forever.

Well what can they say? Obama is not helping the economy-he doesn't have any more ideas..( I'm not sure if he had any to begin with). It is what it is....and Obama cannot argue with facts.

Agreed. The editorial page usually includes opinion pieces from the right. The editorial board of the Post is still liberal, but on whole the reporting is far more "fair and balanced" than the all-but-official mouthpiece of the GOP.

As for this specific article, I wouldn't call it unfavorable - I'd call it an honest assessment. Sadly, "honest" is something we expect less and less from our news outlets, and something we recognize less often when it's right there in front of our eyes.

In other words, rather than making shi* up, the Post reports the facts, and the economy isn't growing the way anyone wants, and the unemployment numbers are still far too high.

Wait, wait, wait... The Washington Post is now a liberal paper? BS. The sole reason the Washington Post exists is to print the unverified leaks of belt way insiders mostly because the "leaks" are part of a smear campaign for one side or the other.

Seriously people, why do so many partisans believe "it didn't print what I wanted to hear right now so it must work for the other side!"?
