NYPD bars Iran's Ahmadinejad from Ground Zero -- Newsday.com (broken link)

Maybe he should sue.

What's next, a Klan rally at MLK's grave site?

Oh, and please, try not to jack this thread into a Bush, Cheney, Rethug, Halliburton, Fox, Jewish lobby etc. etc. etc. thread.

This guy is a total a$$hole.

And that's our saganista down from Mt. Olympus and honoring us with his personal comments about the lesser CD posters, bright and early.

Olberman will cover it tonight for balance and perspective, I'm sure.

I've told you before. I'm really not worth your time.

Sorry you have such a low opinion of yourself. I had a low opinion only of the opening post. Reminded me of those clubhouses little boys set up, and the first thing they do is tack a No Girls Allowed! sign up on the door.

Bold move. Because he was actually going to stroll the streets of Manhattan.

According to the article Ahmadinejad has accomplished a rare feat, all of the major presidential candidates in both parties condemn his request to attend Ground Zero. Maybe there is hope for us yet.

Imagine that, Ahmidinejad the unifier.

I thihk he should be invited and permitted to tour the entire site, with full security.

He should then be apprehended by the FBI and held, blindfolded, for 444 days in the former Iranian embassy in Washington. With Jimmy Carter as his sole visitor.

I was with you until the Jimmy Carter comment. I believe that violates the Geneva Convention prohibitions against inhumane treatment.

Ole Jimmy may have been a lousy President, but he did more towards peace in the Middle East than any other President and probably any other politician in American history.

Probably would have taken the wind out of his sails if we did let him come to the US, I suspect he already knew the answer to his request and promptly told his people..."See, America does not want peace or to talk, they only want war"

Americans can always be counted on to issue emotionally based reactionary responses at the expense of taking advantage of a tactical political move.

No one said he couldn't come to the US.

Are you issuing a -- what did you call it? -- an "emotionally-based reactionary response"?
