According to what I read in the article she wasn't fired for refusing to hand over her password. She was fired for something she posted on Facebook.
If this wasn't a bogus article, then firing her for what she posted on Facebook could very well be reasonable (I think the article said she posted a photo of a co-worker in the bathroom or something). Firing her for not giving up her password just didn't make any sense, which why I remain skeptical about the whole thing.
Now that I saw this was old I wanted to see how it was resolved
So speaking of a lawsuit...from an article in Dec 2012 8 months after the incident.
