Principal got wind of it and notified his parents? Now that right there tells me a little about what's going on here.
Marine invites a movie starlet to his formal ball; that's O.K but this kid finds a date that would turn heads as he enters the dance hall and it's his principal that puts the boots to his plan?
I wonder why he couldn't talk to his parents about this little 'speed bump' in his life of not having a date for the prom and work out a plan with them?
Now the poor kid has backed himself into a corner with neither his parents or his friends willing to stand with him. Says a lot about his school, his friends, and too bad; but also his parents!

On the contrary.. There is no indication that his parents didnt know what he was doing, and that they didnt support him in his actions.
Furthermore, maybe he didn have his parents find him a date, because he didnt want to take cousin Susie... He wanted someone that would make people remember him and his date 20 years later. He didnt back himself into any corner that he already wasnt in, i.e. dateless, a problem everyone faces at one point until they find a date. the prom isnt for a few months, and I'm sure he'll find a date, without the need to run to his parents for help on something so simple. hell, if he needs his parents help to function for a date, whats that say about the kid, or even worse, your expectations on his ability to succeed in life?
I would think they'd be more than a little embarrassed. Personally, I'd be livid, no kid of mine would ever dare pull this nonsense. A healthy dose of fear never killed anyone, but in my experience, a lack of fear sure has.
climb down from the high horse and lighten up.....
No son of yours would ever take a beautiful young female to the prom? Why do you have such low standards for your children and what fear are you speaking of? They were going to the prom, not going out to do coke, rob a bank, and get knocked up..
What's the point of going to the prom if they don't do coke and eventually wind up in bed at a motel? A prom only comes once in a lifetime. Make it a memorable event!
I think it applies only to women, like Ginger Lynn (last name Allen, as we learned when she did a more mainstream movie and made IMDb). Somebody on a Usenet discussion group years ago described a different name scheme for men in porn. Apparently at the time there men with last names North, South, East, and West.
