Global warming: Been there, done that. Forward-looking folks are adjusting their fretting machinery now to something called Cycle 25. Button up your overcoats. Ice is on the way.
Global warming, which was mostly a scam invented by researchers looking for government grants, is over. The great warming phenomenon, which was supposed to have sent polar bears to vacation in Miami Beach by now, ended in 1997.

Nine of the top ten warmest years in the modern meteorological record have occurred since the year 2000. Last year was another one of them, coming in at 9th warmest since 1880. 2010 was the warmest.

Sorry to introduce facts into the discussion.

Who cares? It's not relevant to EARTH.

Sun output is the same. It's not that.

I would submit that there are only best guesses on the temperature of Mars, since we don't exactly have a network of instruments that send Mars climate data back to earth.

It stands to reason tha Mars once had an atmosphere like Earths, therefore creating rivers and oceans. Once the core of Mars became solid it lost its magnosphere causing the solar winds to strip away its atmosphere. Today Mars has a very thin atmosphere not enough to retain much heat but heat none the less, which can result in some ice melting on the surface of Mars during the Martian summer.

There is a link in the same article that it is a single persons opinion, and to an article from 2006 that shows wobbles in mars eccentricity (the orbital math is in the linked paper) would also increase temperature in the next few years. It's always good to hear ideas, but trusting one persons opinion over every other scientists opinion and studies is a form of special pleading. One scientists opinion is not somehow better then all the rest simply because you like what he says.

Weather is cyclic. We have only been keeping records for a little over 100 years At this point.
But leave it to us to panic.
Hell if there were humans around waaaay back when, we would still have dinosaurs.
Don't we have enough to worry about?
