Ok so this was on my mind the other day.

Saturday I was on Facebook to checking comments about the Whitney Houston funeral when without any warning, this girl, an old childhood friend had this picture posted of a obvious dead man, laying outside on the grass. It was 2 pics in one. One was a close up of his face with something that looked like a brown sausage in his mouth and the other was the rest of his body: He was clearly and vividly castrated. And his penis and testicles were stuffed in his mouth.

The comments that followed were things like "that's what he gets for raping kids" etc. But I was horrified! I do not want to see images like that and particularly not on FB and without any warning. I was almost sick.

I got it off my screen but wanted to find out what happened to that guy and if what people were writing was real. Cause people post stuff not knowing the real story. There was no link, name or any reference to the source of the photo so I Googled "child molester, castrated" and looked and never found anything relating to a man killed that way which disturbs me even more. Where did that awful photo come from?

Days later, it still haunts me.

Any instance of something like this happening was when I used to blog. I got a feed from a fellow blogger about a "Wordless Wednesday" photo and without any warning again, when I went to the post, there was a pic of a female body...with no head. Followed by the photo of the head on the ground which was hacked off in some freak murder.

Why do people do this! A little warning would be nice! Sooo disturbing!

Anybody else experience this?

There are sites which cater to people wanting gruesome images (not going to advertise them); luckily most people have more sense than to post them somewhere like Facebook. But not everyone.

The majority of society hasn't seen what I've seen.

Really? Holy crap, what kind of sites do you folks go to?

I have to say that since '98 when I got online I cannot remember seeing a picture of a dead guy with his junk in his mouth or anything close to that bad.

I had a cousin who I once admired speak in glowing terms about things he saw on "faces of death" at a family gathering. I haven't spoken to him in over a year. Probably seems petty but it tells me a lot about a person's character. If you find that ish amusing, I consider you too disturbing of a person to want to have anything to do with you.

I could show whole threads of dead guys with their junk in their mouth (and worse)...

But I won't.
