I voted no and am in agreement with above, especially the bolded area. I know people who make $12K per year and taking 15% of their money would put them on the streets. I think there should be a base amount that is not taxed and anything higher than that, say 18K and above would be better than a flat 15% from the first dollar.
Also their net income would be so low that they would qualify for a food card. I agree there should be a starting point and 18k- 20k would be a good place to start. Lets add if you do not meet the above thresh hold you pay 2%, that would appease the crowd that want everyone to have some skin in the game.
A good question was brought up does the 15% include social security, I think it should considering it is broke and being partially funded out of the general fund already. With no deductions or earned income credit the federal gvt will take in a lot more money then present.
I would add the 15% to capital gains and corporation rates with no write offs, deductions, nothing. That stops the lobbying of our so called leaders using their fascist powers to pick winners and losers. I think if we did this the economy would boom, it would give individuals and corporations certainty. Of course there would have to be safe guards like it would take 2/3rd majority of the house and senate to make any changes to the bill.

Just to be clear... this is gross right... not adjusted gross? Or are things like home interest and business expenses paid out of pocket still part of the equation?
