They are letting cultural stereotypes that are hyped by the media, to get the better of them. There are folks that resent their southern accents, because they feel it labels them as ignorant, racist, inbred rednecks, who live in trailer parks, own a hound dog and eat opossum.
Whatever their first name is, ask your friends if the good or bad deeds of everyone with that same first name reflects on them in any way. Then ask them if they are embarrassed to admit to the neighborhood the live in, because one of their neighbors, beats his wife, their yard looks a mess, or the car they drive is never washed.
Have you ever met a person and had conversations or relationships with them, and then found out they were an idiot or a bigot, or more likely, both of these things? Don't you wish you had a sign over your head that said "If you are a bigot, none-to-bright, moronic, shallow-minded fool, please don't bother interacting with me"?? Maybe that is the gift of being an easily identifiable minority, you have a built in gift, to filter out the above, so they don't waste your time.
The people who judge other people by common stereotypes are non to bright anyway, and it probably best to ignore them, and god's sake, don't let them affect the way you live your life.

I never want to get into with them, why they feel this way, maybe like opening up a can of worms or something. The one sounds as if he has experienced something, but i am just too shy to ask him what has happened. It clearly sounds to me, as if something has happened, what i honestly do not know.
Any race can be ashamed of who they are, but the way i feel truly, shame on you. Embrace who you are and your cutlure. I have many frineds because of business, and personal, and cannot help the way they feel, but they are still good people.
As far as sterotyping again, about blacks holding Obama accountable, here we go again. Why bring race into this. Why can't one say, when will Americans hold Obama accountable.

Because he wholes a 95 plus percentage voting block with black people!! That's why.
No other group has this kind of laser focus on one candidate.
No matter what Obama has done in his first 4 years of office, we blacks are going to vote for him again. He will get 90 to 95 percent of the black vote. We have had 43 white presidents before him. This is the first time we have a black president and we don't know when we will get one again. There is no way in he!! we are going to vote for somebody else.

Most indis are moderates. If Santorum gets the GOP nod, you can pretty much kiss the GOOPers chances of getting the Whitehouse bye bye this November.
Who would you lefties like to see running against Obama? You all want to go along with the establishment of both parties and get Obama back but why is that? I still think that race is involved.
