Here's an editorial from the NYT in which the author predicts the demise of health insurance companies because of a provision of the healthcare reform act (Obamacare).

That law allows the creation of accountable care organizations, similar to HBO's but different in many ways, which the author believes will supplant insurance companies and lead to better, more efficient and cheaper healthcare.

I hope they go under. Bunch of cheats. Lots of blood on health insurance CEO's hands.

Yes, there is. Those "death panels" Simple-Simonette from Alaska predicted have always been there. They're called insurance company actuaries and they WILL determine if you live or die.
