Quite a move by Buffett to put the GOP in their place. Buffett states he will donate 15% of his annual income to pay down the deficit if the congressional GOP only pitches in 10%. Think the GOP will do it? I doubt it.
This is so pointless. Anyone who puts any amount of their private money toward our deficit is a moron.
Congress is paid by the taxpayer. Buffett is making a good point to the party that supposedly cares about fiscal sanity, to put 10% of their taxpayer funded salary towards balancing the budget, while he will pitch in 15% of his private funds.
It's not moronic, it's about as patriotic as it gets that he is willing to reach into his own pocket to help america.

The dems are the ones pushing to restore the tax rates to return us to fiscal sanity, but the GOP have refused every time.
Buffett is calling the GOP out if they really are so concerned about balancing the budget, to pitch in 10% of their income to pay it down the deficit, as he's willing to throw in 15% which is the right thing to do for america.
