Obama calls for debt-limit hike - MarketWatch

Hopefully they will vote like 0buma did...

"The fact that we're here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. Leadership means 'The buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit."

Sincerely Illinois Senator Barack Hussein Obama

Obama will ask for another debt ceiling raise.. he wants to spread the wealth around and will use borrowed money to do just that.

On July 3, 2008, then presidential candidate, Barack Obama said this:

"The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents — #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic."

And the answer fb ? Oh yeah..it was "raise the debt ceiling" in two parts.
But this second one that he's asking for will not tide him over past elections IMO.

There was the bipartisan committee appointed by Obama then they sent their crap to congress and from that came the gang of six and then the next one. It's obvious we need a super duper committee appointed to figure out who is in what committee to begin with and then start over it appears. LOL

Just a few outcomes here.

They could use this to make a stand and force congress to pass a budget. The President could throw down simpson-bowles and say that pass this and raise the debt ceiling. Republicans can use it as a soap box. Etc.

They could use it as a soap stand and not pass a budget, not work together to cut spending and close loopholes. Just raise the debt ceiling at the last minute.

They could stand on principle and force it to be hit.

Two of those three is going to be bad for the economy. One of those would be awesome.

You decide.

Three parts, and yes that was the agreement made.
