We need to have compassion for all sentient beings. Animals don't want to be hurt or killed, either.
What about the yeast in the organic seven-grain bread? You are talking about billions of organisms, and it would be quite specieist of you to assume they are not sentient. And don't get me started on the rights of the organisms that culture the yogurt.
