Certainly not a non-issue. To accuse someone of being the impetus of mass murder is rather......serious. And then for those same people to wag their fingers and preach to the rest of us about the need for "civility" is the height of hypocrisy.

Obviously a lot of people on the left and in the media DID care about Sarah Palin; they went all out to accuse her of being the motivation behind the shooting.

No one accused her. There was only an analogy. So you are going to hold everyone accountable because of an analogy. Do you really think if someone actually accused her of being the cause that she would not sue them with right of course. But no one accused her so you really need to get over it
