Principal Quits After Suspending 9-Year-Old Boy For Calling His Teacher ‘Cute’

Quote:
A substitute teacher at Brookside Elementary School overheard the remark and told Mr Bostic, who then suspended the boy for two days.

I guess the South has not changed from the 1700's and has no plans on doing so no time soon.

The principal was correct. What that student did was sexual harrassment.

I'd like to know more details. Hard to tell who was right or wrong based on the link in the OP.

Ok let me get this straight. I'm a 9 year old kid who tells another kid thats is around the same age as me that our teacher is " cute " and it is sexual harrassment towards the teacher? Somebody please explain what I missed.

I'm still trying to understand why the OP thinks this is a reason to disparage the South (1700s, huh??). Seems like political correctedness run amok, which, let's be frank, is not something we have had as a huge issue here in the South.

Like the other posters, there really wasn't enough information on the OP's link to determine if this was a student being fresh or not. Although, even if so, sexual harrassment seems the wrong charge given the age of the involved student.

Maybe because the principal is obviously an idiot.

Or maybe the OP has made the South his personal "Other".
