You really think so ? Italy has about $300 billion Euro of maturing debt it has to refinance this and next year. Italy's public debt is 5 times that of Greece. Italy has no money to pay that debt and is the world's third biggest borrower.

I think expansion is the wrong word; explosion might be more appropriate.

That's Italy, not the entire global economy. Like I said before it is expected to expand next year, not contract.

They would not have to tax anyone's income, if they reduce the size of our government to that of 1990.

That means, cut the damn spending.

The Defense budget was $409.7 billion in 1990. I doubt the GOP would allow that to happen.

They dont even need to go that far back, they could go to 2000 and create a major surplus.

Difference between loopholes and tax deductions. I am not in favor of increasing taxes on the middle class in order to cut taxes on the wealthy.

If the economy thrives, then Obama, like all presidents, will get the lion's share of the credit.
If the economy crashes, then Obama, like all presidents, will get the lion's share of the blame.

Which do you think his opponents wish to see come to fruition?

You darn tootin' he better. With gusto, even. Or he's doomed, and will be known as a two-faced ****** forever, in my opinion. I wouldn't vote for him again, that's for sure.
