Hard to disagree with that. Term limits would be nice.

The reason we need term limits is because you can't vote them out..!!
People like Nasty Nancy and dirty Harry buy their votes. They aren't the only ones, most of those crooks are smart enough to keep their voters happy by spending our money on them..
How do you think they stay in office so long, like the WV guy that had to die at 103 before he left office. He brought millions of unneeded dollars to the state. He paid for many "Bridges to nowhere". He was totally worthless, but remained in office. The people hated him, knew he was a crook, but continue to support him for the money. That's not how you get good people in office..
How about good old Charlie Rangel. The guy should be in jail, and his people vote for the crook.
There are like examples all around the nation. If everyone had to run on their record, term limits would work...

Interesting. Why would the Republican Tea Party ignore the voters?
I read all of this boring poll and failed to find anything that showed how many Republican voters felt about any of their questions. Did you notice the outcome of the Mickey Mouse vote in the Senate today. I guess until the Republicans vote with the Dems this far from approvable bill will never pass the Senate and the Leader won't be able to blame Republicans only. He just wants the Senate to pass it so he can whine about the House and their obstructionism, huh?

Again, I didn't see the poll saying what The Leader is saying about this question. It appears that Stimulus II will never pass although it was for half the money. I failed so badly that II never had a chance.

Why would the Republican Tea Party ignore the voters? 72% is a big number.
Those Democrat economists never did manage to see that the jobs that were created were government jobs that petered out when the states didn't have to money to keep them around. Obama has to get around to seeing that those jobs were just temporary unless the states could be kept in money to hire those people with.

Right, and it was SUCH a good investment: "The jobs created and saved by the economic stimulus law that President Barack Obama signed on Feb. 17, 2009 cost at a minimum an average of $228,055 each, according to data released yesterday by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO)....the $821 billion cost of the stimulus divided by the maximum of 3.6 million jobs the CBO believes the stimulus may have saved or created equals an average of $228,055 per job. At the lower end of the CBO’s top job-creating-and-saving estimate for the stimulus—1.4 million jobs—the jobs would cost an average of $586,428 a piece."

Personally, my family would love to hire help, instead of just sending $50,000 a year to Washington to be wasted in scams like this. And if WE hired people, WE would benefit, they would benefit, and the Government would benefit from taxes. Multiple the effect by millions like us, and we would be FAR better off simply leaving money in the economy doing jobs we really need doing--instead of make-work scams like have 50 high-paid construction workers relaxing for months to years on end, while causing major traffic disruptions and accomplishing NOTHING but wasting money.

As he was the sponsor of the bill, his no vote would be a procedural move. By him voting no, he would be allowed to bring the bill back up and table it for another vote. If he had of voted yes, then that option would be closed to him.

Only thing that you have said that I disagree with, but we are getting off topic.
