Oh....wait a minute...........
So you aren't willing to take these 'misguided' youths into your home to teach them good from bad, yet you protest those who would like to see them punished in a legal manner befitting the crime.

I don't know if kids that would drop a cart on a woman really subscribe to a socialist agenda. I'm not sure these kids are politically motivated at all. Likely they never considered the consequences of their actions as kids of any race can.

Mom apologizes and adds "I'm a single mom I need help."

Sorry, mom. There are plenty of single moms who raise their children to know right from wrong; to have respect for human life. There are plenty of single moms who don't turn their children loose in the City allowing them to do as they please.

Did anyone else notice in the article where a neighbor stated one of the boys was the 'baddest kid in the building'?

I would wager whenever your parent was around that s/he instilled a sense of responsibility, morals, ethics and integrity, in addition to not using single parenthood as an excuse for anything which went wrong.

I've come to know many people whose start in life was not unlike yours. Those whose parent guided them as best as possible (despite the adversity around them) went on to become professionals and mentors. The cycle was broken for them.

But on a somewhat more serious note, kids have always done crazy things, but this just tops it all when TEENAGERS try to kill people just for fun. Either there's something we're putting in the food or showing something on a new level of inappropiate that's corrupting these kids' mind or we have a really crappy bunch of parents these days.
I'll go with crappy parents for $1,000.

I noticed that. The mom states the obligatory "He's a good kid" refrain we here often from black mothers when their kids are accused of a crime. Yet she is contradicted by her project neighbors who call him the baddest boy in the building. Which is saying a lot since I doubt the other kids in the building are choir boys and girls.

He also has numerous run-ins with teachers and a spotty attendance record. You have to wonder what passes for "good" in this mother's mind.

Team Edward again.

Any mom's kid is always a 'good' kid. This isn't limited to Black moms. Moms tend to view their children in a positive light regardless of the facts.

The parents of the Columbine kids described them as 'nice' and 'kept to themselves'.

Empecher.

False flag.

Attorney Shahabuddeen Ally, representing Mrs Rosario's son, said: 'This is a tragedy. This act may have been sophomoric, but it was not intentional.'

Bull feathers! Of course it was an intentional act. It was just the seriousness of the result of their actions which these two little thugs didn't foresee. No time to take personal responsibility like the present.

She said of her son: 'He's sorry, he’s sorry. He’s only 12 years old. He’s a good kid. I just need help. I am a single mom.'

According to the Daily News, neighbours of Mrs Rosario's son in the Washington Houses described him as the 'baddest boy in the building.'
If convicted, they could be receive up to 18 months behind bars.
2. excuses

How many times do we read stories like this? In the old days boys like this got shipped of to military school or to a boys home where they could be in a structured envoronment, educated, and have an opportunity to turn their lives around instead of being life-long sociopaths. Sadly, many juvi systems only create more adept thugs.
