So you think they will take a profit cut, or do you think they'll lower interest rates even more on savings to recoup the costs?

All you go-it-alone Ayn Randists, here is evidence that determined social activism, as we're seeing the beginnings of on a MASSIVE world-wide scale, can effect the behavior of huge corporations, even if our elected representatives are too corrupt or too scared to help.

There is POWER in a union (and 99% of us are in the same union )

Do you really think the costs won't be passed on some other way?

But what's to stop them from trying again a few months later when people have moved on to other things and apathy sets in again? Or maybe they'll try a smaller fee and gradually increase it over a few months until it reaches $5?

We must always be vigilant against big banks and their greedy ways.

The two have nothing to do with each other. I'm talking about social activism as the OP referred to it; the type of social activism where people take their business elsewhere. You know, competition? That's about as free market as it gets.

I did, a long time ago. See, I've not been the one complaining about such things. People like you have been overflowing with emotions, for these banks, however.
