I want to see if he was killed is why. Don't you? Or do you also believe everything your told?
How are you going to see if he was killed? Are you planning a trip to Libya this weekend? Because otherwise, you're saying that the proof currently proffered is not acceptable, and that proof would be the rebels' claims, photos and video. That proof isn't going to change depending on how the body is disposed of.
They, and the international community, are exerting pressure on the transitional government to get control of this situation. The chaos that goes hand-in-hand with revolution is often seized as an opportunity to redress perceived wrongs, and to go after minorities (and their assets), which seems to be the case here.

Aren't we buddies with the rebels? Don't we have a way to confirm it's him with all our guys running around all over the middle east? Of course they do but seem to choose not to. Now why would that be? Hey it's old news anyway as we're getting out of Iraq havn't you heard? Shift gears and concentrate on that and forget all about this. DO AS YOUR TOLD.

Ah so that's just part of the chaos? LOL. Continue on.

No, we aren't buddies with the rebels.
We hope to have a diplomatic and economic relationship with the new government that will benefit the United States as well as benefiting the new Libya.
And so which of "our guys" running around the Middle East (Libya, by the way is not the Middle East, it's North Africa), do you trust to identify Gadhafi's body? Since you don't trust the rebels, don't trust video, don't trust photos, but you are saying that you do trust someone who works for the Obama administration? Or not?
So now we're not buddies with the rebels? Then why were we paving the way to the capital with bombs? To save all those innocent civilians from momar that were then killed by the bombs and rebels? Yep makes complete sense...........to a swooner.

French Revolution.
Russian Revolution.
English Reformation.
Civil wars leave behind power vacuums and chaos. People with axes to grind seize that opportunity to redress their grievances, sometimes brutally and violently. The rebels in Libya have been focusing on gaining control of the entire country, they, like any government, are making priorities. As observers, you, I, Amnesty International, the United Nations, the Italian government, may question those priorities. In fact, there will most certainly be international commentaries on what the rebels do right and what they do wrong (mostly on what they do wrong, because that's the nature of critiques), including what they do with the people they've imprisoned.

The international community, NATO, the United States, supported the rebels in the overthrow of a despotic regime that didn't hesitate to attack, shoot and bomb its own citizens. That doesn't make the international community, NATO, or the United States "buddies" with the rebels. It makes us humanitarians. The test now will be if the rebels can construct a better government for the Libyan people. I'm sure the international community, NATO, the United States will support the rebels in their efforts to build that better government, and will condemn the rebels if they institute just another despotic government. Of course, the United States doesn't have a great record in that regard. Since we supported the Shah of Iran's despotic government and Mubarek and Saddam Hussein and Gadhafi all at one time or another. One can only hope that we've learned from our mistakes.
