...the people who are forcefully or ignorantly bringing down the level of political discourse in this country on all sides.
Not liberal socialist commies.
Not rightie nazi extremist christians.
It is everyone, together, who refuses to have an educated discussion on how we can move this country forward instead of resulting to an extreme amount of logical fallacies, twisted lies, and childish name calling.
...and until we own up to it, America is going to continue to circle the drain.
Our politics has, indeed, become infested with the win at all costs mentality pervasive in business schools and war games. These attitudes only serve to block and solutions so the other guys can be blamed. None of these players cares a whit about the damage their delaying tactics are doing to most of the people in the US. Apparently collateral casualties are no problem.

I see some reasonable discussions from some people, but the problem is that some of the positions are diametrically opposed. There is no compromise in such positions.
The Democrats, the Republicans, the conservatives, the liberals, the right-wingers, the left-wingers, the black panthers, the KKK, mothers against drunk driving, the AAA, the NAACP, AARP, NCLR, corporations, trade associations, foreign corporations, professional associations, unions, citizen groups, civil rights groups, minority groups...

I agree. The arrogant and aggresively ignorant do the most damage -- and they are on both sides. We have adult problems facing us. We need to discuss them and handle them as adults. That means no blame games, no name calling, no dramatic emotionally-charged comments for effect.
I think one main problem is the two party system and having a governmental structure that favors there only being two parties that fight against each other. Without having at least a third (usually a good number is 5) party in a legislature/discussion, we lose track and result to a polarized landscape that can never be balanced out well.
