This is from Bruce Bartlett, the guy who worked for Reagan:
For all you people who think that Obama is a Marxist, you're just living in a delusion.
I agree and the same could go for those saying he is a communist or socialist. It is pretty laughable to me. I am not a democrat and I like a lot about republican ideology and I actually do see the president as more conservative than past republican presidents.
I also understand why democrats put Obama up for the nomination and I feel that the republicans can learn from them in this area, the country as a whole does not want someone ultra polarized, they want someone who is more center right or center left, not way way way far right. People too far right or left come off as lunatics.
What happened here is that you guys slid the center too far left. Now even center-right (which is what America is) now looks like far far right compared to the center. BTW, Obama is NOT a Conservative. He is a damn Marxist/Progressive who wants to get re-elected to continue shoving things through that the people don't want.
LOL...pretty slick. "Slid the center too far left?" That's pretty good. Ridiculous, but good nonetheless.
Indirectly, yes. The Democrats nominated someone who had a realistic chance of beating the Republican candidate for president. In this political climate, a progressive would probably have lost the election.
It works that way on the Republican side, too. There's a reason Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee, or Tom Tancredo didn't win the Republican nomination -- they are too extreme right.
I agree with you about 90%
Obama is a corporatist
He was hand picked by and propped up as "the one'
Basically he was an product to sell the American people and the brainwashed sheep(especially liberals) bought it hook line a sinker.
Also to the moron republicans
Have you've ever heard the phrase actions speak louder than words
He talks a good game to the liberals but his actions say otherwise
He talks a good game to the liberals but his actions say otherwise
He only does otherwise when he fears losing the election. When there is no fear of that and his poll numbers are good, he demonizes the right and works around them to push all his far left agenda through. If you can't see this, you aren't looking very hard.

Don't bother, that doesn't fit into "moron republicans" reality that they been fed.

I see, so the right have been conciliatory and compromising, especially since the manufactured debt crisis?
Obama has been disappointing but it's good to see him giving the right a taste of their own medicine.
What is your definition of a conservative and a liberal?
Lets set some ground rules here.
No thanks. It wouldn't make any difference. You and i already have our definitions set in stone.
You know what i mean, so there is no need for a long drawn out explanation. Obama has governed as a center-right president. Bottom line, end of story. Take it to the bank. Not saying that you have to believe it, but i damn sure do.
Funny, I didn't get "class warfare" themes in his speech.
I gave you examples.
