Harry Reid hand-recruited Barack Obama to run for President in order to deny Hillary Clinton the nomination. It was a winning proposition in his mind....Democrats could lay claim to having elected the first Black President.
Nevermind the fact that Barack Obama had zero experience in running anything. Nevermind that Barack Obama himself doubted his ability to be President. Nevermind the fact that America was on an economic slide that mandated someone with the right experience and leadership ability to right the ship.
Nevermind all of that. It was about denying Hillary Clinton the Presidency, and it was all about brown skin.

My feelings would be the exact same even if President Obama were purple with green polka dots. I am happy with President Obama and I will be voting for him in 2012. He will remain in office until Jan 19, 2017. Get used to it.

Your Republican party will get their turn to kick the can down the road if not in the upcoming election then the one after. The future Republican results will be equally ineffective to combat a problem that is rooted in the American lifestyle rather than what any individual politician does..
Over the last couple of generations America has managed to basically spend itself into global irrelevance,Yeah its easy to use a President as a scape goat for the situation but he's chump change in the process as a whole.
Maybe that is why more conservative types were elected in the last election. And we hope more this time around.
Bush has been gone for 2 1/2 years and the left is still bashing him.
Carter has been gone for 31 years and the right is still bashing him.
