Never let a crisis go to waste. A good distraction from a bad ObamAA+ stock market, get to increase police state powers "temporarily" (what's good in war is good in peace right?), and some more gun control.
My take is a little different. Obama has been preaching redistribution and sharing the wealth. And in the UK the rioters are doing exactly that. I'm sure Obama would applaud them for their initiative.
There is civil unrest all over the world for different reasons such as austerity measures, election results, high inflation and law enforcement actions. Why would the U S be immune? Our country is sitting on a powder keg that only needs a spark. Civil unrest is a coming to a town near you and it is just a matter of time.

That's gravy IMO. The redistribution of wealth, like for the Soviets, was just a means to an end. Control is what pro-government folks crave, and socialism (whether it be from national socialism, bolshevism, cocoa communism, etc) provides an excellent vehicle to arrive speedily to that goal.

BTW the British girls being interviewed sounded exactly like the lefties on the board. "Let's show the rich people who's in charge!". Limbaugh is (in Brit speak) Spot on.
If the liberals had their way the entire populace would be little children with big government acting as mommy and daddy doling out the entitlements. And when mommy and daddy start pulling back the entitlements because they are going broke, the little children burn down the playpen.
