Reading the posts on this forum, it does seem as if he can do no right in your eyes, and depending on your allegiance to conservative/libertarian ideology, perhaps that is a justified position to hold. But there has to be at least one act/accomplishment that his administration has done which you approve of. Whether it was authorizing the operation which led to bin Laden's death, the cash-for-clunkers program, or compromising on key pieces of legislation (i.e no public option with healthcare reform), surely this administration has done something you approve of. If so, then please enlighten us at to what is/was.

Please do not leave any sarcastic or jest like comments. This thread is not about whether he has done more harm than good. If you don't feel as if he has done anything positive worth noting, then simply indicate that and move on. There are no wrong answers, I just want to hear a bunch of opinions which do not go along the lines of "Bozo the clown", "Obummer", etc....(you get it)

Thanks in advance.

I actually originally supported his push for UHC. That's probably the one thing I'm quite liberal on... but instead they came up with this half-assed solution that's not much different than what we have now. They're just putting a proverbial gun to your head and making you buy health insurance.

I'm glad bin Laden's out of the picture but he did violate Pakistan's sovereignty in order to do so. Now I'm sure the Obamabots will attack me for being unpatriotic or other such demagoguery, but bin Laden was an ailing old fart who was about as much of a threat to me as this carpenter bee that lives outside my apartment.

I don't think he's an awful president, I do like him more than Bush, but I don't think he's a ton better. A different side of the same big government coin. Overall I feel like I was taken in by the hopey-changey stuff... what can I say, I was an impressionable 17 year old attending a school full of hardcore liberals.

He authorized the mission to kill Bin Laden. Other than that, he's done nothing of note IMO.

The mission was authorized on September 11, 2001.

Oh yeah, I do approve of what he's done in regards to DADT and all that.

e: Waiting with bated breath for a moonbat to post this website... so I'll beat them to the punch:

To be taken with a grain of salt, since they think government expansion is a good thing

Correction (on my part), he allowed our military to do its job without interfering.

He's helped the economy of folks who make teleprompters, but outside of that he will replace Carter as the worst modern day President if not worst of all times.

#1.

Obama signed the Dodd/Frank bill and in it was the audit the federal reserve that Ron Paul has been working on for over 20 years. Like the whole bill it was watered down from what Paul wanted but as you know you can't get everything. With it's passage we have learned that TARP money went to foreign banks and to others that had no business getting a bail out. With out the audit we would have been left in the dark, I think it is a good thing that we know.

Extending the Bush tax cuts and I agree with the POTUS that raising taxes in a recession would slow the economy.

Yes, I approve that he has demonstrated the complete and utter failure of Keynesian economics and Marxist social entitlements. I just wish he had not added $3.5 Trillion to our debt to prove the point.

isnt it something that reasonable, intelligent people can disagree with the president, yet still have the ability to admit that not everything has been bad.

the idealogues from both parties who don't have the capability or intelligence and take things personally is what is wrong with politics in this country.
