Hmmmmmmmmmmm seems somebody is doing some back scratching and the lemmings eat it up like gravy.
"Obama being listed as the company’s top recipient might surprise some people because of its highly publicized involvement with his political rivals, like Sarah Palin who was the vice presidential candidate in 2008 and reportedly still under contract with Murdoch-owned Fox News as a paid commentator," wrote Sunlight's Ryan Sibley.
Sibley said News Corp. has spent $8.2 million since 1997 lobbying on issues such as net neutrality and privacy. He also points out the top recipients from the firm's political action committee, News America Holdings, in the 2009-10 election cycle were Reps. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Howard Berman (D-Calif.) and Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).
Simple propaganda really. Use News Corp and Fox to make the extreme right look loonie so that the majority votes for Obama.
Obama is also the top recipient from Comcast/NBC, Viacom, etc.
Media and propaganda dictates how the masses will behave, thus controlling power of media also controls politics.
Broadcast corps can topple candidates who stand in their way and are not conducive to corporate interests by defamation. Politicians are bought and paid for. Note how many congressmen and senators are multimillionaires with large investments, almost all of them eh?

Clinton put the final nail in the coffin of complete media control in 96 when he passed the Telecom Act. How long until we find ourselves with even greater control of content we can access? The internet will likely be regulated soon, more than it already is, yet very few people are talking about it.
You see, there is an illusion that Democrats and Republicans are good for the American people... as long as you have lobbyists and corporate "donations"... the American people means squat... everything else is designed to lull you into thinking that they are on your side...
Murdoch is first and foremost a media businessman. That's what most of you liberals don't get. I've been watching Murdoch play both sides of the aisle and the middle since the 1980's. He really is not an idealist like most of you make him out to be. I bet he even voted for Obummers because it really boosted Fox's numbers.
I thought corporate money was free speech. Why are people that support the idea of such speech are now complaining about it? On top of that, I could never find anything more amusing than hearing about Fox News' parent company preferring Obama. Speaks highly of Fox News' audience, and the money that they make for Fox News, to watch someone they couldn't hate more.
What a good idea, get a lot of money from the people that hate a candidate and use it to help get that candidate elected. Rush has been doing that for a long time.
