He is correct. When Obama won in 2008 my single biggest fear was that the food stamp program would expand. My fear has manifested itself worse than I ever imagined. Anyone not on food stamps trying to struggle to get by should have the deepest animosity towards food stamp card swipers, Obama, and the Democrat party in general.

this is what happens when you have job destroying policies and are clueless how to handle the economy.

not only this, but americans NOW have to deal with devalued currency as a result of these failing processes and money printing schemes.

When did I say Ted Kennedy was a moral person?

The "Spare Some Change?" Food Stamp President is doing a wonderful job undermining this once great and prosperous country. Liberals say "GOOD JOB" and will vote for Obama again, no matter how much worse it gets because anything's better than those sky-high $2 gas prices under the imperialist, war-mongering Bush (bush wars=2 obama wars=5).

Our Retreat from Prosperity
So free-market capitalism is the natural source of Progressivism and Progressivism is the destruction of free-market capitalism. Free-market capitalism creates wealth; Progressivism destroys wealth, except for the political elite who acquire it via appropriation from others.

Those Awful June Unemployment Numbers Are A Candy-Coated Fantasy
Things are MUCH worse than the government will admit.
John Crudele at the New York Post tells us the government's behavior is actually much worse than that:

Now for the really bad news: that 18,000 gain announced by the government yesterday isn't real.

For one thing, the number of jobs increased in June only because the Labor Department simultaneously revised downward the number of jobs that existed in this country during May. It's like moving the fences at Citi Field so the Mets players can hit more home runs. It might make Jose Reyes feel better, but it doesn't actually make him more powerful.

Without the fence-moving operation in the May employment report, the June number -- yesterday's number -- would have shown a decline of 26,000 jobs.

In the meantime, besides labeling Obama as The Most Successful Food Stamp President In American History", what are Republicans doing to reduce dependency on Food Stamps?

Recently, one of the local radio stations has been running an ad to recruit SNAP participants. A little Cloward-Piven?

Facts can be inconvenient things for Conservatives. While you are lamenting the increase of people on food stamps since President Obama what you seem perfectly willing to ignore is that the number of Americans on food stamps increase 50% during the administration of GEORGE W. BUSH JR.

This is how the number of people on food stamps increased during George W. Bush Jr.'s two terms which started in January 2001.

Average Monthly Participation On Food Stamps

2000 - 17,194,000

2001 - 17,318,000

2002 - 19,096,000

2003 - 21,250,000

2004 - 23,811,000

2005 - 25,628,000

2006 - 26,549,000

2007 - 26,316,000

2008 - 28,223,000

Second, the number of Americans below the poverty level increase at a faster rate under the Bush 43 Administration than under any two term presidential Administration since they started keeping records of this information in 1959.

Bush 43
Americans Below The Poverty Level
2001 - 32.907 million 2008 - 39.829 million - increase 21.04%

Overall Population Growth
2001 - 281.475 million 2008 - 301.041 million - increase 6.95%

During the Bush 43 Administration poverty INCREASED three times faster than rate of population growth.

Clinton
Americans Below The Poverty Level
1993 - 39.265 million 2000 - 31.581 million - decrease 19.57%

Overall Population Growth
1993 - 259.278 million 2000 - 278.944 million - increase 7.58%

During the Clinton Administration poverty DECREASED 2.5 faster than the population grew.

Considering the Most 'Oppressive Presidential Regime the United States has suffered under Obama'...outrageous gas prices causing food prices (ands everything else) to inflate 30%....he should be giving out an abundance of food stamps to Americans.
