It's the politically ignorant folks - including many on this board - who are constantly bragging about how "Obama is toast". These are folks who don't have a clue about politics OR history.

The polls however, tell a very different story - one FAR more realistic - so I guess those folks who are always going on about how poorly Obama will fare will just have to wait and be suddenly surprised by events that were more than obvious to folks that are more politically aware/knowledgable.

Ken
Spot on. The GOP is definitely out another 4 years.

I'm thinking Sanrene & Co. will have to adjust their status message dates forward Like Harold Camping LMAO

RealClearPolitics - Election Other - President Obama Job Approval

More to the point though, when paired up against potential GOP contenders he CRUSHES them (some of them REALLY BADLY).

Obama vs Romney: Obama +6.3
Obama vs Pawlenty: Obama +14.1
Obama vs Gingrich: Obama +16
Obama vs Bachmann: Obama + 18.3
Obama vs Palin: Obama +19.5
Obama vs Paul: Obama +8
Obama vs Huntsman: Obama +21

RealClearPolitics - President Obama vs. Republican Candidates

And remember - this is not just the result of ONE poll, these are the AVERAGE results from MULTIPLE POLLS.

Ken
I have always wondered now that bunch finds an average of all those polls when the polls themselves couldn't find an average for their weekly numbers.

Future headline. You saw it here first!
In case you didn't know...there has been no primary yet, meaning that Mitt has not been nominated.

At least if we voted for Cain we couldn't be called racists again. I really do wonder what might happen if he gets nominated. It would surely split the black vote.

Real Clear Politics is doing something that nobody has ever done successfully when they make their attempt to average all the other polls. Hang in there though.

So what do YOU attribute his huge jump in the polls to?
Face it, it put to bed the idea that he's "soft on terrorism" that the GOP had tried to foster. Most folks realize that's just bunk now.

Which is a big reason why they are pushing for him.

So don't LOOK at the AVERAGES. Just look at the INDIVIDUAL POLLS separately. The picture is still the SAME (not good for Bachmann).

Are you saying that his attempt to force the Israelis to give back their hard earned land which would have defeated them very soon isn't softness on terrorism? I think it may be necessary to look into that statement pretty soon.

His huge jump in polls was made in one poll in early April and nothing happened when he ordered the death of bin Laden. NOpe he went to -10 and has been right there ever since. Oh, I forgot, that poll is a cheater's ground and right leaning. Rasmussen.
