A woman who was escorted off an Amtrak train by police this weekend after she allegedly refused to stop talking loudly on her cell-phone.
Civilians and quiet-car champions are supporting her ejection for violating policy at high volume during the 16-hour journey. It doesn't help her cause that she became belligerent when confronted about it by one of her fellow passengers.
Lakeysha Beard says she felt "disrespected" by the incident, though passengers said it was Beard who was being rude by refusing to stop yapping while sitting in one of the train's designated quiet cars.
Why did Yahoo close the comments section? I've never seen that before with other stories.
Amtrak did the right thing. This woman cared nothing for the people who felt disrepected by her rude behavior. I don't know why Amtrak waited 16 hours to remove her from the train. She felt disrepected? How does she think others felt who had to listen to her incessant blabbing?
Maybe she was having a family emergency, and needed to converse somewhere with no distractions.
Amtrak is typically not much more than a trailor park on wheels anyway.

Does that mean that people who ride Amtrak are trailer trash?
