The Navy SEALS retained parts of the body for DNA testing on behalf of the conspiracy loons. Too bad it will make no difference.

Don't you think if Osama was not killed in this operation he would be on Al Jazeera right now?

I can't wait for rense and the weekly world nooz to come out with the earthshattering news that Obama is really Osama's secret love child and now inherits the al queda and all the oil and their hidden cave outside of gitmo and whatever else.

Those two (rense and nooz) are gonna clean up on this one. You want to talk conspiracy - how about - the entire war was created by rense and the nooz, to sell advertising. bin Laden was actually just some poor schmo librarian in a university in Libya but he looked evil so they turned him into the villain of their dastardly, fictional plot.

There's your conspiracy.

No, that would be in accordance with Excellent Reason #2

ARE OUR SOLDIERS SAFER WITH THE RELEASE OF THIS NEWS??
Unclear if you are saying the operation should not have happened or if it should have remained a highly guarded eternal secret. Please clarify.

I can understand the very smart rationale behind not mistreating the body so as not to enrage the gutter masses, but dumping the body in the ocean so quickly is almost stupid. The body should be held in a secure place and tests made and some access to the press made to verify the government's claims that is indeeed Bin laden's body. Then you dump it in the ocean. Yeah, this will arouse suspicion and fuel conspiracy theories. You have to protect the identities of the service people involved, naturally. But that adds to the shroud of secrecy and mystery over the whole affair.
We did a great thing, the military did anyway, and now possibly( if these rumors are true) the government screwed it up. Maybe on purpose. They're always trying to keep the people guessing, you get sick of their games.

Just playing devils advocate.
You are not playing devil's advocate.

You are miffed that OBL was captured/killed during Obama's 2.5 years in the White House and not during GWB's tenure from 2011 to 2008.

Invading Iraq, the Patriot Act and the waterboarding did nothing to capture/kill OBL. Good intelligence gathering (not made up crap about Saddam getting uranium from Africa), cooperation with Pakistan and a small military operation is what delivered the goods.

People throughout the country are happy that OBL is dead regardless of whom is in the White House.

Our dead, their families and friends have finally had justice done.

Yup! I now believe he isn't dead.

Why not show photos of his body after he was shot? They showed photos of the room he was allegedly shot in.

Why the quick "burial at sea" ?
