agreed, their "starve the beast" and "trickle down" schemes have failed. It is time to undo the mess they made and tax the oil companies and the GE's of the world. Too bad we cannot tax them retroactively.

Deficits won't be fixed. The economy will have to fail to wipe them out. Non-issue. Unemployment is really not the issue. Making enough to survive and prosper is the issue. Rendered moot by the above. Climate change is dwarfed by "the environment" as a general cause of concern for me. Logically, this has to be number one. Gay rights. Well, as a gay man, they are important, but not enough to make any top 50 list. Business climate is not important, see above. We need to reaffirm that human beings trump corporations or we're doomed. Wars in foreign countries are a major concern for the cost and the detriment to our reputation, not to mention the innocent lives. When will we learn? Immigration? Close the freaking border and disallow any more foreigners here! Terrorism is what the government is doing to us, not what I think is assumed above. Health care won't be fixed until we abandon the victim mentality and realize both the power of the physical body and the power of the natural world around us to heal it.
