2130: General Motors says it is suspending production at its Shreveport Assembly plant in Louisiana in the US next week because of a parts shortage resulting from the crisis in Japan, Reuters reports.
One of our suppliers at work sent an e-mail to the Pres. of the co. to let him know that the machines we had ordered will obviously not arrive on schedule... and don't know when they'll be able to ship at all. We were about to go full bore on a new product line in July, but that most likely will not be happening.
Well, I only lost OT, many of the Japanese have lost their lives and livelihoods. I can't complain.
