That really IS the problem... or more specifically the us vs them mentality that is solidly built by being unable to effectively communicate with each other.
All the negative comments about Frank's statment just prove even more how screwed our country is as long as we hold tenaciously to our "holier than thou", self-absorbed, self-entitled, smug ways.
Meanwhile, #2 on the "economic superiority" list, set to eclipse us sooner rather than later has more speakers of Engish as a second language than America has people! Do you see them insisting the world speak Mandarin? Who is gonna be more successful on a global scale, someone who only speaks 1 language or someone who speaks several? Didn't we learn anything from our language's namesake and their unfortunate superiority complex?
Stupid Americans! Stupid, stupid...
Well you sure don't see Americans fleeing our country into those others, it's all those people coming to the USA so I think it's safe to say that the USA is the most desireable country. No other country has as many immigrants so being an English speaking nation isn't hurting us.
It's just too bad that we're now catering to the most intellectually lazy immigrants who cannot assimilate and so we must learn their ways to provide them even their welfare handouts.
The cost of living here is simply too high for millions to pour over the borders with no intention of ever learning a word of English and find jobs that can support their extra large families. We're importing poverty at very high rates and soon the welfare class will outnumber the taxpayers.
Good O'l Barney reminds me of that crazy uncle your always worried about embarrassing you or themselves at family functions
