Go, Union!
Four workers were discussing how smart their dogs were.

The first was an engineer and said his dog was named T-square and he could do math calculations. He told his dog to get some paper and draw a square, a circle and a triangle, which the dog did easily.

The accountant said that his dog was better. He told his dog, Slide Rule, to fetch a dozen cookies and divide them into piles of three which he did with no problem.

The chemist said that was good but he felt his dog could do better. His dog, Measure, was told to get a quart of milk and pour seven ounces into a ten ounce glass. The dog did this with no problem.

All three men agreed this was very good and their dogs were equally smart. They turned to the last man, a union worker, and asked what his dog could do.

The union worker called his dog, Coffee Break, and said "Show the fellas what you can do." Coffee Break went over and ate the cookies, drank the milk, **** on the paper, screwed the other dogs and claimed he injured his back while doing so, filed a grievance for unsafe working conditions, applied for Workman's Compensation and went home on sick leave.

Go unions!

It's really sad how the left just doesn't care about others. What about the rest of the country?
They were started to keep blacks and Asians form taking jobs from whites. That's pretty much what they are still about: keeping non-uinion wages low.

As I have stated previously, the recall vote cannot be held for a year, the effort can, and is going on now. Getting signatures, filing paper work is moving along quite well. But am glad to see you got some facts.

RealClearPolitics - Why Scott Walker Must Win
Where do you dig up this bullsh****************t?

Can you tell me what so democratic about taking away a groups right to collective bargaining when just about every free and democratic modern industrial country in the world give people the right to collectively bargain?

Collective bargaining - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
The right to collectively bargain is recognized through international human rights conventions. Article 23 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights identifies the ability to organize trade unions as a fundamental human right.[3] Item 2(a) of the International Labour Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work defines the "freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining" as an essential right of workers.[4]
Quote:
In June 2007 the Supreme Court of Canada extensively reviewed the rationale for regarding collective bargaining as a human right. In the case of Facilities Subsector Bargaining Association v. British Columbia, the Court made the following observations:

The right to bargain collectively with an employer enhances the human dignity, liberty and autonomy of workers by giving them the opportunity to influence the establishment of workplace rules and thereby gain some control over a major aspect of their lives, namely their work... Collective bargaining is not simply an instrument for pursuing external ends…rather [it] is intrinsically valuable as an experience in self-government... Collective bargaining permits workers to achieve a form of workplace democracy and to ensure the rule of law in the workplace. Workers gain a voice to influence the establishment of rules that control a major aspect of their lives.[5]
Can you tell me why Scott Walker has insisted on taking away the teacher's union's right to collective bargaininng when it's NOT what local government officials asked for?

Walker’s plans not what local governments asked for

Quote:
Joe Tarr of Isthmus called local and school officials over the weekend, and it turns out they have asked for no such thing.

“Our position is we’ve sought significant modifications in bargaining laws, but we’ve never sought to eliminate collective bargaining rights,” Miles Turner, executive director of the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators, told Tarr.

Turner added that the association actually prefers the unions have collective bargaining because it’s an established system where everyone knows how it works and all have a seat at the table. He also said that he thinks the governor made a mistake by exempting police and fire unions from his edict.

Dan Thompson, executive director of the League of Wisconsin Municipalities, told Tarr that the governor “gave us a great deal more flexibility than we asked for.”
Quote:
And Mark O’Connell, executive director of the Wisconsin Counties Association, said his group asked for more power, but not to the extent Walker has proposed.

In other words, our governor is not above embellishing the truth, something we’re finding out more and more about each passing day.
