Evolution is not an article of faith. Its reality doesn't depend on anyone's opinion. Nature will continue to evolve, with or without your approval.

The Bible requires belief, as an example. All religions based on faith are dependent entirely on the belief of the followers. As things change over time (evolution) these faiths either evolve or fall onto the trash heap of history, which is currently littered with discarded religions.

In the order asked:

1. Still a controversial subject... just not among scientists.

2. Still a theory of Darwin. Theories do not become facts, they explain facts. Even the best confirmed theories in science remain forever theories.

3. Tens of thousands of different scientists in the fields of comparative anatomy, genetics, biochemistry, taxonomy, paleontology, ecology, embryology, physiology, biogeography, and geostratigraphy.

4. By observing and cataloging the evidence of the natural world.

I actually proved it in my house about 30 years ago.

It started with an infestation of those tiny light-colored moths that practically disintegrate whey they are touched.

I started using my vacuum cleaner to rid the house. It worked very well; the moths would just sit on the curtain or wherever and I vacuumed them up.

A generation (moth generation) later another infestation occurred. This time all the moths tried to fly away when I turned the vacuum cleaner on.

There you have it.
Nobel Prize, please!

Yes. Research adds to the sum of human knowledge. We had pretty good evidence for relativity just by observing the planets, but that didn't stop us from looking deeper into it.

Too late. You'd get a Nobel for disproving evolution.

Are Our Genes more Important than We Are?
This course makes it clear that the history of controversy surrounding evolution is not limited to a dispute between science and religion. Even within the scientific community, the fine details of the theory of evolution have long been a matter of passionate dispute.

Here we go again. Religious folks should just shut up and read a book.

Take a DNA scan of an ape's cell. Compare it to the DNA scan of a human cell. It's the same damn thing plus few mutations.
