Duh! Exactly how do you think "liberals" can kick someone off the USSC when they are appointed for life?

OR, are you talking about having a justice recuse himself on certain cases?

If he's clever, maybe just one example would be nice. The guy doesn't even bother to ask a question, and i can't believe that he doesn't have any when every other justice seems to have plenty.

Still though, i don't get why conservatives are so protective of this guy. So much so, that they'll pretend like he's under constant attack even though that couldn't be further from the truth. He's a big boy, he can handle himself and face his own music. I don't see conservatives running to Scalia's or Alito's defense in the same manner. Why Thomas?

You missed the part where the guy explicitly said that he doesn't side with Scalia but considers him smart enough to be a Justice. Do you enjoy setting up strawmen arguments like that?

I would say that a vast majority of people who are in the legal profession would agree that Thomas was not the most qualified candidate for a SCOTUS seat in 1991, when he was appointed.

Thomas doesn't ask questions because his mind is already made up, and he doesn't care to push issues that might be important. In many cases, Thomas' opinions have been entirely on issues raised by neither party in their briefs nor during oral arguments, and thus he winds up having a lot of one-justice concurrences or dissents.

No, actually that is not what I said at all.

So you really don't get it, you really don't.

Well said.

"Is Justice Thomas underqualified to sit on the Supreme Court?"

No. Can we move on now?

Do you ever post in a thread without making a tu quoque fallacy?

Of course I get it and you'll never admit it but if Thomas were a liberal left wing judge this conversation would never take place. 25 years and ZERO questions later he would still be admired as the second black SC justice but because he doesn't vote with the overwhelmingly democrat black community his intelligence is being questioned by people who couldn't get a job sweeping floors at Yale where he went to college. I get it, I really do.

Of course I get it and you'll never admit it, but you like to create strawmen arguments because the alternative, a reasoned debate based on what people are actually saying, may be too difficult for you. I get it, I really do.
