Who watches the watchman? Our checks and balances were compromised years ago, and that Powell would be coerced... we have a few good men. We have more than a few. They're just not allowed to do the right thing and it's time all citizens ask why.
If America is doing something wrong I can handle the truth. I cannot handle the lies and I curse the day I bit my tongue over Iraq, loyal soldier justifying absence of evidence= secret clearance issue. BS with secret clearance coversheet a decade later is still BS.
Doesnt really matter does it. I mean really those who are politically and socially savy be they liberal or conservative might have the brains and awareness to be outraged, but the wikileaks requires a level ov comprehension ad attention to detail while reading. 60% of the American public is to stupid or busy to take notice if it doesnt show up on their favorite corporate media news show. I've read some things so far that should be breaking news onall the news programs. But all I hearis crickets on FOX, CNN and MSNBC you have to realize who they are ownd by and whats in their best interest. Wikileaks is good fodder for the aware lol, but nothing game changing.
I've heard several reports.
What I find strange are the accusations hurled in every conceivable direction for wildly contradictory reasons.
On the one hand Assage is accused of being a RW anarchist by a moderate dem. With another hand Assage is accused of being a liberal traitor by a moderate conservative.
One hand points at media whistle blowing, another hand points at whistle blowing as opportunist schemers or political assassins for hire. I hear old school Vets say it's treason hang them all from the yardarm, but this particular vet is instinctively saying no- let the truth prevail. I'm a little shocked not to hear the same hard line conservative vets use this opportunity to throw Hillary under the bus. Really, I've got to give them credit for seeing the weight of her job.
So, blame the media for holding their tongues and refusing direct commentary is being pointed at as aiding and abetting those Assage implicates? They're protecting banks and Clinton? Could they be covering their mouths over the potential liability since this legal issue isn't cut and dry?
One thing's for certain- not all of these things can be true all at once.

Americans have been kept in the dark way too long. We think people hate us because of our freedom. The average Joe in Iowa has no idea that our government has assassinated democratically elected leaders around the world and installed pro US dictators (who with US backing killed and tortured their protestors), etc.
It is good if it exposes lies of global warming proponants, liberals, Democrats, communists, socialists and other scourge of the world.
It is bad if it exposes America in any kind of bad light. Which in that case it is treason because American can't be known for anything bad afterall, we have a reputation to uphold.
BS, it is never good to get Germans in the field exposed to risk for trying to defend this country. They are defending the country by being concentration camp commanders and following through the orders of Hitler. Support our troops, they are the reason you are free.
Espionage is not good, neither is taking the stolen materials and giving them to everyone.
Do we still hang people like these for treason?
I edit a scenerio in your post......
Imagine this being said by a German citizen circa 1940...
I've been to the wikileaks web site and I don't find anything. Could be I'm in ept, I'll go for that, but still from what I understand the release of this secrete stuff went to news media. boring....I read one article from the New York Times that said, the presidents of various countries believe the president of Iran to be crazy. I thought, tell me something I don't know. And two, I too, think he's nuts.
For my news, for the documents that matter to me I go here: Secrecy News
These guys have been publishing unclassified material through the FOI for decades. I can find anything I ever wanted to know and was afraid to ask, through Steven Aftergood's blog.
I've been consulting this web site since 1998 and I will continue to do so. A few years ago I went to wikileaks and found an electronic publication of a book that was not to be published concerning my hometown. That was the best I ever got out of them for what they provide.
From the FAS website however, I have a dedicated folder just for them, that if I were to strike out on my own as a freelance writer, I have more than enough material to suffice, compliments of FOI and folks who know how to use it.
In my humble opinion, wikileaks just set out to make himself known as he thought he wasn't getting enough attention. He may find out the hard way, staying off the grid would have been better in the long run. Ha, he's stirring up dust and he may find himself, in the dust.
Also, he could be a pawn, in that he did not get anything that he wasn't meant to have in the first place.
