May I also suggest that we actively support the Patriot Guard Riders. If invited as guests to a funeral, they will position themselves INSIDE the barrier (since they are invited guests, they can do this) and between the mourners and WBC protestors. Once there, they work to completely obscure, overcome and drown out any and all of WBC's signs, actions, shouts and etc.
You see, the actions of the Patriot Guard Riders are also Constitutionally-protected speech. Too, since they are invited guests, they can come right inside the barriers.
We really didn't have a problem here when they showed up;so many lined the roadway to the cemetery who would not allow them on property which was private and they couldn't even be seen by the soldiers family.Thousands of veterans and town folks lined the entire route of 15 miles waving flags that you couldn't even see those protesters.
