I'd be interested in the criteria of the findings.

U.N. Human Rights Council Takes Aim at New Target: United States - FoxNews.com

Quote:
The sheer welter and volume of accusations, recriminations and prescriptions aimed at the U.S. that are embedded in the U.N. summary, however, obscures one important fact—an extraordinary number of them, Fox News has discovered, come from just a single source out of the 103 submissions cited in the U.N. document.
What is that source?

The U.S. Human Rights Network.

Who is behind this conglomeration of "activists"

Quote:
Funding for the network and its Geneva submission apparently comes from the Human Rights Fund, an umbrella group whose steering committee of philanthropies include the Ford Foundation, George Soros’ Open Society Institute, the Overbrook Foundation and an anonymous donor.
The far Left of course.

Quote:
What they apparently share, according to their mammoth Human Rights Council submission, is a militant vision of the U.S. as a malignant force.
America haters, one and all.

No wonder obama agreed to the world's despots, dictators and murderers to sit in judgment of the US - he agrees wholeheartedly with the above.

Maybe all this will put a little dent in the myth of American infallibility, that America is the crowning glory of civilization.
You certainly have the option to ignore everything which does not fit you views and keep parading in your new clothes. You can blast away at everyone else...so enjoy yourself!

Of course it's the first time. The U.N. Human Rights Council was formed in 2006 and is currently about 2/3rds of the way through it's first Universal Public Review of all UN member's human rights record. The US isn't being singled out.

(Just reading the words "U.S. submits" gives me a warm fuzzy )

I think this is the reason it is a bad idea.

It’s possible this review is at the behest of Obama and the State Department.

Quote:
Packaged as a 29-page report aiming to create "a more perfect union" in "a more perfect world," this U.S. self-critique was sent by the State Department on Aug. 20 to the U.N. High Commissioner on Human Rights, in preparation for a formal review on Nov. 5 by the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva. A glaring feature of this report is its disparaging mention of Arizona's new immigration law.

The statement from the Global Migration Group -- combining 12 U.N. agencies, the World Bank and the International Organization for Migration -- said it was concerned about the rights of tens of millions of migrants in 'irregular' circumstances around the globe.
