So wait, everyone is upset at the people who might have leaked documents and Julian Assange, but there's not a peep of discontent from being lied to by your government and your media?

Anyway, this will be like when the Afghanistan docs leaked. People mildly cared for 3 days then it was on the next celebrity scandal. So far it looks like everything is exactly as we expected, civilian deaths galore, mishandling, media coverups and/or lies. It's sad that all the awful things we've been suspecting for years is actually turning out to be true.

What is interesting is that we've basically been at war with Iran for 6 years and neither country has said anything. Will the media use this to finally start beating the war drums against Iran?

Well the docs talk about combat between American and and Iranian soldiers on the border and Iran supporting Shiite insurgents. Crazy stuff, especially considering that neither country has spoke about it publicly.

Logically speaking Iran should have no issues with what we did. We are their biggest help! We removed the only real balance of power Iran had over there which means Iran will dominate the region for a long time to come and we installed a ****e government that is much more friendly with Iran than the Sunni government it replaced was. Opps- forgot you got to spell SHIITE funny here!

Even if it means a danger to a couple of informants and others, I support the publication of those documents as obviously a lot of evil deeds are committed by the US military. I don't like it when people try to cover up such things under the pretext of intelligence, national security, etc. Makes me think of rogue states and certain regimes more typical of South America and Africa...

Every military around the world should know that any of their actions may become public and that they may have to take responsibility for them.
