The word “racist” is used like a weapon with the intent to inflict injury and intimidation (http://www.enctoday.com/news/planned-66989-kfpress-column-racist.html - broken link). In an attempt to diminish the power of the Tea Party movement, the NAACP called the Tea Party a “racist organization” while at the same time totally ignoring a racist organization that Democrats support. Planned Parenthood kills minorities at a staggering rate that the Ku Klux Klan could only dream of.
I never thought of the Grand Wizard of the KKK as a "celebrity" I guess things are different in the South.
I live in the South and I neither know or care who is the "CEO" of the KKK or the NAACP. In my opinion they are both racist organizations and I don't want to know anyone who would be a member of either of them.
My friends are normal, everyday people who go to church, work to care for their families and find it amusing when people from other parts of the country make remarks like you just did. It is a sure sign that the person making the statement is ignorant.
I just looked at the post of the person you are talking about. I gathered that the poster was saying that the Grand Wizard wants to be a celebrity. He is looking for attention.
