Why do you assume a few neocons don't sit on the other side of the aisle?

Not a single Democrat bill to even take a step toward bringing our troops home? Not a single bill to roll back the hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars spent, when our economy is in collapse and we have no way of generating the taxes that might pay for such insane overspending?

How many years of war under 100% Democrat control before people realize that Democrat Politicians love war spending every bit as much as Republicans?
You assumed all neocons and military industrial complex caretakers sit only on one side of the aisle.

The fact is that the federal Gov't continues to waste OUR money. It's like the bum on the street asking for money... So, you give him $5 for food only to find out later that he bought beer instead. Then you see him tomorrow asking for more money. If you know that they are going to WASTE your money then why give them more? Its stupid to give the gov't more money... To put it another way: Higher taxes are a bad idea!

Absolutely! It is ridiculous to say that the tax cuts need to be paid for. It's government programs that need to be paid for. Cut the spending! Tax cuts simply allow people to keep the money they have worked for and own!

If by cutting taxes it means that we have less money for government programs, it's only logical that we need to drop the programs!

Isn't this funny as hell? The liberals, trying desperately to cover for the deomocratic congress and Obama's insane spending, are searching for ANY place to lay blame, except on themselves.

The economy was GREAT prior to the democratic congress and Obama.

Any fool knows that our problem is SPENDING, not REVENUES. Wake up- the socialist spending orgy is over and responsible adults will soon be moving the children aside and restore order.

You folks make me laugh.

Missing the point. Dont give the Govt money you sound so silly.

WE ARE THE GOVT.

What we need to do is take control of it back from the transnational corporations and bankers that get rich robbing social security and ginning up BS wars. Its all a shell game. Look yourself in the mirror and realize you are the GOVT. It is for and by the people. Its the fact that our educational system has slipped so far we have forgot that. We are played like puppets by the talking heads while the robber barons laugh all the way to the bank.

Strangle the hell out of the Govt and regain control of it. Without a proper govt we are looking at serfdom and a complete breakdown in society.

Fools?

Yes, we ARE THE GOVERNMENT............. in theory. Our "government" has been highjacked by incompetent fools who lack the will to make difficult decisions and have therefore resorted to simply massive irresponsible spending to "cure" problems they cannot face. We no longer have representatives who truely reflect the will of the people, who are telling our "leaders" to cut spending. Those calls fall on deaf ears.

The money is that of the people, not the government. Starve the government by massive tax cuts. That is the only way to curb spending, as there is no political will to voluntarily control the spending orgy.

And if you're for cutting spending realistically, could you itemize what you would and what the savings would be?
No, I can't itemize it. I don't have access to the budget and the in depth knowledge of how the money is spent to give a realistic response. Maybe you can go line by line in the budget that was deemed as passed and present it to me and then I'll propose something.
