Until you change that mentality, there is nothing you can do about the consolidation of business.

Thats just a negative aspect of the free market economy. Of course, if you have a better option, I'm all ears.
I guess your 18 year old analogy may be part of the reason I don't have any more money than I do. I always hire people who have some experience and don't mind paying them for it. I guess I don't have something to change aftger all.

I think that the CEO was talking about what was about to happen with that last Reform bill. Has The Man signed it yet. Remember he promised that he would never sign anything until the 5th day after he got it. Oh well, he tore that one up when he signed the Stimulus Abortion the day he got it.

They don't all do this, this is part of what screwed up the Bush Presidency. 9/11 changed their plans forever. They went from fiscal conservatives, to spending like crazy. Then, after the war started to go south for them, they tried their "legacy" stuff, and to cram through some stuff they liked. It just didn't work for them. I was really quite amazed that George Bush won a second term, but he was running against John Kerry.

However, he'll get some stuff accomplished. When Clinton lost the house, he did some of his best work after his re-election. Theres a two to three year window after the re-election of the President, where they can do a lot of good things.

I still think George Bush might have made a very good President, if he hadn't gone war crazy.
Now we are disagreeing, partially, again. Clinton went along with the Republicans in the House after Newt took over and it worked. Obama talked about bi-partisan pelosi through the campaign but when the Republicans refused to go along completely he told them to go to hell that he didn't need them to ram through his ObRePe "reforms" without them. Surely Boehner will remember those words. Maybe the people will forget but surely those who he called out won't forget.

Its not about what politicians remember, they'll steal a kids sucker while kissing them.

Pelosi is out, gone, the house is lost. But Boehner (is that how you spell his name?) with his tan look, that'll be perfect for President Obama to fight against. Boehner just looks like a politician. A few inspirational speeches, and a couple of "bi-partisan" agreements, he'll have an approval rating of over 60%, once the economy is a little better. Then when the oil spill is out of memory, probably 6 months, and troops start coming home next year, well. He could have a 70% approval rating by December of next year.

Pllllease Jindahl is a joke. Did you see his speech to the nation? What a joke. He might have gone over well in LA, but not in the rest of the country.

Also, his oil record is screwed up to. He received a lot of money, that he just sat on for over 30 days when this thing started.

He might have gotten some good press because he could drive to the oil spill, but he isn't a national politician.

Two of the last 4 Presidents we had are what most people considered "good" Presidents. Reagan and Clinton.

What did these guys do? Well, their first two years in office they crammed through all the pet projects they wanted. That allowed them to spend the next two years playing political softball with the opposite party, which made them look bipartisan, and got them re-elected.

President Obama is doing the EXACT same thing. He crammed through a load of stuff in his first two years. He doesn't care if he loses the house, its probably better for him if he does. Republicans aren't going to defund the healthcare reform, they aren't going to repeal it (when was the last time you heard a Republican mention this, they haven't, its here to stay). Republicans aren't going to make the troops come home, if President Obama decides he wants to leave them over there.

They aren't going to do anything. They'll bask in the glory of the day, then when reality sits in, they really won't do anything.

Then the President will ask them for ideas, that he'll probably mostly agree with. Then legislation will be passed, and the President looks good. The economy is due for a turn around, all economists agree, regardless of the fact that the stimulus probably didn't do anything for it.

Guess who'll get credit for that, the President.

He's almost a dead lock for another 4 after 2012 at this point. Reagan and Clinton both trailed all of their possible opponents at the two year mark, and then their numbers went through the roof.

The American people have a short memory (especially the republicans, who have mental problems already ) Two years from now, when the election is full steam, President Obama will be looking like the greatest thing since sliced bread. Who are they going to run against him? Romney has the best chance of winning, and the south won't vote for him because he is a Mormon. Palin will go off the deep end if she runs, going further right, which the country doesn't want.

Face it, the white house will be Democratic until at least 2016.
This was a great post. It's sad that we all get so divided bickering amongst ourselves about who's worse (democrat vs republican; liberal vs conservative) when at the end of the say all we've got is the same thing with a new look.

Reality check, Obama is not Reagan or Clinton!!! Obama is a disaster that is trying to FORCE his agenda at all costs. Instead of getting unemployed Americans back to work, his Adm. is continually manufacturing and spinning data.

"Jobless Recovery" What a joke!!! More like No Jobs = No Recovery

Millions that voted for him now regret it. Do you think he's going to rally the unemployed and those that lost their homes, jobs and everything else?

He's going to learn the same thing that Bush 1 learned the hardway.
It's the economy stupid!

Obama is starting to look more and more like a one-term president. Polls have him losing to Huckabee and tied with Palin. A pretty pathetic showing according to a left-of-center polling organization.

Hot Air » PPP: Obama, Palin tied 46/46 in 2012 polling
