"Now, finally, a new birth control option for men is in the works, which would allow partners to share the responsibility, and let guys be in control of whether or not there will be any surprises in the procreation department."
It's been just around the corner for about forty years now. I'm not holding my breath.
A couple of other observations:
1. Men already have the technology to be in control of any surprises: either a condom or a vasectomy. Both are pretty effective.
2. I know this has been sought after for many years, but if you were a woman considering to have sex with someone, would you want to rely on his mere assertion that he's taking the male pill?
I know more than one woman who got pregnant from a guy who had a vasectomy.
My ex and I were both sterilized.
