I'm sure there are different kinds of allergies...

BUT how about RAGWEED POLLEN in particular...it is generally in the AUTUMN (NOT spring). So ragweed sufferers get it in August, September in particular.

Any ragweed pollen sufferers get it bad in Pittsburgh that time of year (AUTUMN)?

(I keep stressing Autumn, because so many associate allergies with springtime and hay fever, which doesn't effect me whatsoever).

I am the king of allergy suffering, pleased to meet you.

I had lived in Erie all my life up until late October of 06. I moved down here hoping my allergies would be non existent. It turns out, now at 39, my allergies are the worst they have ever been. My "autumn" allergies seem to begin around early August.

I have an allergy child in my family who is allergic to trees, grasses and weeds. The ragweed allergy is the worst one. Ragweed starts in the beginning of August, but it fully kicks into full gear towards the end of August, staying until a good frost in October. It's important to start taking medication at the beginning of August to stay ahead of it.

I have the local pollen count emailed to me every day. It's a good way to see what's going on with allergens. You'll know the minute ragweed hits the Pittsburgh air if you sign up for this service. .

If you're suffering right now, it's more likely the cause of a mold allergy: http://www.aaaai.org/nab/index.cfm?p...&stationid=163

Yeah, it's mine too. We're so blessed to have a year round allergy.

It's not as bad on rainy days. The rain washes the pollen out of the air and off the ground.

It's the mold that you find unbearable right now.

I know this because I have a mold allergy and my son has a TERRIBLE ragweed allergy.

My son has been doing fine for the past week and a half.

I'm the one who is having allergy problems right now.

Check out the pollen count right now.

Weeds are low.

Mold is moderate.

http://www.aaaai.org/nab/index.cfm?p...09%2F22%2F2009

Check out the data on 9/15/09

Weeds were modeate.

Mold was high concentration.

On 9/8/09

Weeds were low

Mold was high concentration.

Mold is your problem.

If you have the pollen count emailed to you daily, you'll get a better idea of what's bothering you. You can adjust your medication accordingly.
