Plenty of trucks on 80 as well, more with each increase in Turnpike toll. Late night on 80 seems like it's all trucks.

All highways are full of trucks shipping all the imported garbage we consume. I would take Rt. 80 for sure.

In my opinion though, 6 of one...
The last time I went to NYC a year we took the turnpike to 78 to get there. I-78 was by far the least pleasant experience of the drive with all of the trucks and the interstate is of poor quality to begin with as well.

I think there are more instances of trucks getting on and off as they drop off and pick up at the various warehouses nearby. As opposed to some other major roads when more trucks are driving across and the traffic flows a little better, imo. You've also got your share of Maryland, NJ and NYC drivers on this road, weaving in and out of traffic like idiots in a hurry to go nowhere important.

I would much rather be on a highway with all trucks than all of the crazy drivers I see now. Truck drivers tend to follow road etiquette and cause alot less accidents per mile driven on the highway.

I agree to the part about truck drivers - they tend to use turn signals, and drive on the right, and only in the passing lane when they're, well, passing, unlike the left lane hoggers.

Just went & came back from the wedding.
Can't comment on weekdays, but I-80 was a breeze on Sat & Sunday.

Thank you all again for the recommendation!
