Hi, I am relocating to Pittsburgh from Atlanta. Please suggest an apartment with Indian community and Good Elementary School. My work place will be in Canonsburg but my priority is good elementary school and Indian community. Please suggest.

There's not an apartment that big in the area. You'll be lucky to fit an Indian family and some desks in most.

The closest Indian community to Canonsburg is in Scott Township. As of 2010 it was around 11% Asian, with Indians making up the bulk of the population. The Indian community is focused around the Carriage Park Apartments off of Greentree Road. The vast majority of the residents of these apartments are now Indian, AFAIK. Some of the local movie theaters even play Bollywood films now. It's around a 20-minute drive from there to Southpointe, which is where I expect you'll actually be working.

Scott Township is fine, its real close to the Kirwan Heights exit on 79, which will take you directly to Canonsburg CV is middle of the road as far as quality, but it also has its share of lower socioeconomic groups in Glendale and that, which might be bringing down the test scores.

Chartiers valley has a very good math and science department. I have been told that is the reason for the high % of foreigners that move to the area.

Thank you for your response. My question is Good Elementary school & Indian community near it. Distance to Canonsberg will not be a issue I get good Appartment/House with school (Good rating).

The post that eschaton wrote is your best bet. Carriage park apartments is a well kept community that has 1 bedroom apartments up to 3 bedroom town homes, the elementary school is only a few years old, they have a good school rating. Your commute time will be short and the complex is 80%+ Indian

Good luck on your move.

There are a few Indian restaurants and an Indian grocery very close to that location too, look for Greentree and Banksville Roads. If you will be working at Aquatech, I have heard very good things from my Indian friends.

Scott Township has the highest Asian concentration in the western suburbs (11%), but other nearby suburbs also have decent-sized Asian populations, specifically Mt. Lebanon (4%), Upper St. Clair (6%) and South Fayette Township (5%). Much of the Asian population in those suburbs is Indian.

I worked in Canonsburg and I had Indian coworkers who lived in the Carriage Apartments. Not only you have Indian grocery stores and restaurants close by but the commute to Canonsburg is very easy (hop on 79 S and you are there). Also it is worth noting that you are close to the Indian Community center in Carnegie. And yes Chartier valley is very good.
