Anyone know of any, preferably at an actual vet clinic? I don't think GP has vets on site, but I could be wrong. I need to drop my cat off for a long weekend in July and wanted to have a vet check him out then, as well.

We've recently switched veterinarians and now go to Dr. Aileen Ruiz, proprietor of The Big Easy Animal Hospital in Lawrenceville (she's from New Orleans and was a Hurricane Katrina refugee, hence the name). Granted we only went to her once so far, but we were very thrilled with her.

I'm not sure if they would be willing to look after your cat while you travel, but I'm sure they'd have some excellent recommendations regardless. For boarding we typically utilize The Dog Spot in the Strip District, which, as its name implies, is for canine boarding---no kitties allowed!

I don't know what Golden Paws is, but I do know that Golden Bone Pet Resort boards cats. I have boarded animals at the Golden Bone for many years and have always been pleased. No vet though.

VCA Animal Hospitals offer boarding services. There isn't one in the East End but there are three locations in the suburbs. VCA Fox Chapel Animal Hospital would be the closest one to the East End.

Hopes and SteelCityRising, thanks for the suggestions. Yes, I meant The Golden Bone.
