I wish there was a way to fiter this map to take out the effect that the local universities have.

I wondered if maybe that wasn't the Bhutanese resettlement people. But, I agree that it is hard to interpret that chart.

What stuck out to me wasn't necessarily the race component, but rather it appears that poverty in general, geographically, has dispersed. The concentrations that you see in the 1980 map are now more diffuse.

I'm not certain, but this could be a result of changes within public housing programs and beleifs in what constitutes best practices.

Right, but the population has also dispersed since 1980. If I had to guess, I'd say poverty dispersed more than the base rate of population dispersal, but I can't tell for certain.

That's a good point...but even within the City limits, it appears that the poverty is more diffuse. I really noticed it on the Northside, but I do pay particular attention to that area of the City.

Biggest shocker is how drastic the change in poverty in counties like Fayette. Unless there was no poverty in 1980? (hard to believe).

I'm glad I'm not the only one, at least I know there isn't anything wrong with my PC.
