I have been going down to the Southside on weekends recently, and have noticed that that the number of single girls that are out has been much lower than usual. I wonder if it could just be the cold weather, or is the Southside actually losing it's luster and turning into a frat guy playground? If that is the case, then where is the new hot spot for single women to hang out when they want to avoid the packs frat bros and meet some normal guys in this city?

I would love to get some input from people that have actually gone out and experienced the singles scene recently. Thanks!

North Hills bars are actually the only ones I ever notice that women outnumber men. Or try Local in the Southside on Wednesday for their wine night, that seems to pack in women.

Go to the Deckhouse on Route 19 in Cranberry on Thursday night when there is karaoke. Anything you want female related.

Thanks, I heard about the Deckhouse but have yet to check it out. It would help if it was closer to the city.

I did not know local had wine night, that is very un-southside of them haha.

My friend noticed something similar with the weather and less people going out. While I can only speak for myself, the cold most definitely discourages me from staying outside too long.

I'd consider going to lulu lemon on Sundays at 10 am where they have free yoga. There are a lot of women at those sessions! I'd suggest bringing loose clothing, but they have yoga mats if you need to borrow them.
Here it is: 5520 Walnut St , Pittsburgh | lululemon athletica store | yoga, running, & workout clothes

Also, if possible consider hitting the streets of Oakland during the day or night. The sheer amount of people there is encouraging. I personally would go to the Hillman Library at night, as there are a ton of people in there. I also think places such as Starbucks, Crazy Mocha, Caribou Cafe, Panera Bread, and the basement of William Pitt Union could work out well for you.

LOL, so true. I can attest to the fact that everything east of Edgewood is a no-man's land of dating.
